Brandon Wright is a NYC based saxophonist, multi instrumentalist, and award winning composer hailing from Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. With over ten years of experience cutting his teeth in the highly competitive and ever changing musical landscape of New York City, Brandon has earned an impressive resume of performance credits and has proven to be one of the most exciting and versatile saxophone voices of his generation. With a deep love of Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Rock, and Pop music, Wright has developed a sound and style that easily crosses over into many musical genres while staying true to himself as an artist, storyteller, and craftsman. From The Mingus Big Band to Chuck Mangione, Max Weinberg to Michael Feinstein, major hit makers like Bruce Springsteen and Nile Rodgers , as well as appearances in the horn sections of Blood Sweat & Tears, Dr. John, Alicia Keys, and Doc Severinsen, Wright is a rare musician possessing first rate conservatory training with top flight real world experience.

While having a very active career as a sideman in New York City, Brandon has diligently worked on cultivating his own band. His quartet/quintet has made appearances at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, The Kitano Hotel, Smalls Jazz Club, Smoke, Zinc Bar, The Tanglewood Jazz Festival, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. His critically acclaimed albums “Boiling Point" and “Journeyman" on Posi-Tone Records showcase his abilities as a soloist, composer, and an arranger of contemporary music.
